Accessibility
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Manasota Families is working toward WCAG 2.1 level AA across the site. This is ongoing work, not a finished state, and this page describes where things actually stand.
What is in place today
- A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Keyboard-reachable controls throughout search, results and account forms, including visible focus styles.
- Form errors shown inline against the field they belong to and announced to assistive technology.
- Moving content, such as the category bar and the how-it-works carousel, can be paused and respects reduced-motion settings.
- Text and interface colors are checked against AA contrast ratios.
Known gaps
- Map markers and popups are provided by Google Maps and are only partly usable by keyboard and screen reader.
- Some older provider photos and listing images may be missing descriptive alt text.
- Voice search depends on browser speech support and is not available in every browser.
